The Bus Users Group for Stevenage (BUGS) campaigns for better bus services to meet the needs of residents, workers and visitors using bus services in and around Stevenage. We meet with bus operators and representatives of Stevenage and Hertfordshire councils to try to resolve issues of timekeeping, non-running and infrequent services, poor and inadequate shelters and other waiting facilities and many other issues. The Government has added bus services to independent rail consumer watchdog Passenger Focus’ remit.
BUGS welcomes new members to the group and to our meetings. Our open meetings are held every couple of months and everyone is welcome – whether you are a member or not. Join our committee and help run the group and plan our activities.
Can’t come to our meetings? You probably have some skills you can offer. If you have a smart phone and could take some photos they may be suitable for this website or our newsletter. You may have writing skills – can you write and article for our newsletter or help put it together? Can you suggest or design improvements for this website – like a new banner for the site? Get in touch with us if any of this sounds like you.
